Summer Pics

Upon returning from my little vacation, I disovered my little girls had grown up a little during my time away, so I decided some Summer pics were in order. I took them out to the school they will be attending in the Fall which has a beautiful campus, and took pictures around the pond. Emilee is already 6 years old (going on 25) and will be in first grade in the Fall. Abigail, my baby, is 3, and will be going to a half day program starting in the Fall. How time flies!

Two Weeks With Jack!

For those of you who don't know, Jack left June 15th after being activated to go work at Dover AFB, DE. It is a 3 month assignment, and since it runs during the Summer, that would put us missing yet another anniversary, which is July 9th. So, Jack flew me out to meet him in Delaware, and we took some time to do some travelling and see places I have never seen before. I arrived on July 2, and we spent to long 4th of July weekend in Washington, DC. I have never been to the Northeast, so all of this was completely new to me! What an amazing place to spend the 4th! We decided to join about 25 thousand of our closest friends on he front lawn of the Capitol and enjoy the "Capitol Fourth" festivities. Jack was pretty excited to learn the Huey Lewis and the News was one of the performers we would get to see! As night rolled in we got to enjoy an amazing fireworks display over the Washington Monument. After DC, we headed to New York. WOW! You can't even imaine how big it is until you've been there! AMAZING! We took in a few baseball games, did some shopping, A LOT of walking, and spent WAY too much money! GREAT FUN! We also visited Annapolis, Baltimore, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, then went back to DC for a baseball game. We had an amazing time reconnecting and remembering what it was like to just be us again! ENJOY!

My Little Snake Handlers

I thought I would introduce you all to our family pets. Emilee's pet is a 5 ft long California King Snake named Jackson. Abigail's pet is a 13 inch (not fully grown) South African Sand Boa named Sandy. They love their snakes, get them out all the time, and they tend to travel with us wherever we go. If we are taking a day trip to Grammy's or Grandma's...at least one of them usually accompanies us. Emilee says she wants to be a herpetologist when she grows up, and it looks like she is well on her way!
